Produced for Cafe Concrete CCPCP Project.

Rose & Lewin explore generative narrative structures that are derived from a careful inventory of recurring events/symbols within films that are unified by a common cinematic sign or signifier. These commonalities are collated and restructured by bespoke generative digital systems that produce unique film works, every time the system is run. These films are then rescored by Rose & Lewin and the film work is then effected stochastically by the new soundtrack. These films act as a way to deconstruct conventional cinematic language. Rose & Lewin are currently interested in Witches, Westerns and Giallo, using these filmic ‘types’ as a way to explore, historical, gender archetype and representation
